PRF
(Platelet-Rich Fibrin): The Ultimate Blood Concentrate
The use of Blood Concentrates is becoming more and more popular in medical Aesthetics.
Patients like the idea of using their own cells instead of a synthetic alternative in their quest for a younger and fresher look.
EZ PRF is the result of years of experience and study. Consequently, we’ve found what we think is the ULTIMATE blood concentrate!
What Is PRF?
PRF, or platelet-rich fibrin, is the next generation treatment of platelet concentrate. PRF is a fibrin matrix comprised of platelet cytokines, growth factors and cells used to help promote skin rejuvenation, hair growth and wound healing.
Three Easy Steps
COLLECT PATIENT’S BLOOD
First, we do a simple blood draw into tubes.
PLACE TUBE(S) IN THE CENTRIFUGE
The tubes are then centrifuged for 5 minutes.
SELECT THE PRESETTINGS & HIT SPIN!
The tubes are taken out of the centrifuge and the top portions of the centrifuged tubes are drawn up to obtain the PRF for clinical treatment.
WHAT MAKES EZPRF BETTER THAN TRADITIONAL PRP OR PRFM?
MORE CELLS!
Not only does EZPRF contain more platelets per mcL, it also has leukocytes (WBC) & mesenchymal stem cell!
We could also call it the “Platelet, Leukocyte & Mesenchymal-stem-cells Concentrate”, but that would be a bit long, wouldn’t it? (#PLMC)
FIBRIN SCAFFOLD!
(#PLMC)
HOW DO WE OBTAIN MORE CELLS?
HIGH SPEED VS LOW SPEED
CENTRIFUGATION
In order to obtain PRP, it is necessary to spin the tubes at up to 6x the G-Force of the EZPRF process.
The idea of the high spin method is to eliminate all Red Blood Cells (RBC), by pushing them down with gravitational force.
It’s a good idea, but spinning it too fast, for too long, PRP methods also eliminate the cells that we DO want.
Request a consultationHOW DOES FIBRIN FORM?
NO ANTICOAGULANT!
This is High School Biology: Our tubes are 100% Natural and devoid of any anti-coagulant. As a result, fibrinogen molecules can be converted by thrombin into fibrin during blood clot formation.
UP TO 10X THE PLATELET CONCENTRATION.
HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?
We’re only using about 1/10th of the volume collected. And because we’re spinning at a very low G-Force, the platelet recovery is very close to 100%!
Below, we’re explaining why claims of 5x the concentration while using up to 1/2 of the collected volume is mathematically impossible!
WHAT ABOUT LEUKOCYTES?
There seems to be a debate in the scientific community about the White Blood Cells and their effect on the healing process. You’ll get a different conclusion depending on who’s financing the study.
We are creating what’s called a controlled inflammatory response and leukocytes are the cells associated with inflammatory response.
How Does PRF Work?
Fibrin is a biological scaffold that forms in response to an injury anywhere in the body. Platelets circulating in the blood will bind to a scaffold of fibrin. When platelets bind to the fibrin scaffold, they become activated and release growth factors, which start the wound healing process by creating new skin cells, collagen and blood vessels. By injecting PRF into an area on the face or scalp, a controlled inflammatory response is created, which kick starts new cell growth and collagen production.
How Is PRF Used?
PRF is used to address many of the same issues as PRP, but PRF releases growth factors for much longer, up to one week, versus PRP which releases growth factors for few hours. This means that PRF could have better longer-term benefits. The growth factors are what stimulate the stem cells to improve collagen and elastin in the skin. The platelets in PRF are thought to be more robust than those in PRP, and to therefore promote faster healing.
The prepared PRF is immediately ready for injection into the face to fill facial folds and wrinkles, to plump the hollows under the eyes and dark circles, and to improve skin tone and texture. The PRF can also be injected into the scalp to aid with hair restoration and growth.
PRF is also used with both in conjunction with simple Microneedling and Radiofrequency Microneedling to enhance the results in improving acne scaring and wrinkles.
PRF treatments can be used in all skin types and tones.
How Does PRF Treat The Undereye Loose Skin And Dark Circles?
The skin under the eyes is one of the thinnest skin on our body. It can be one of the first areas that show signs of aging. PRF is one of the ideal treatments that improves this area and can be a better option than heat-based skin tightening devices.
PRF can also enhance the results of fillers under the eyes. Injecting hyaluronic acid fillers under the eyes can instantly improve the hollowness under the eyes and is a fabulous treatment to instantly rejuvenate this area. However, too much fillers under the eyes can make the eyes look puffy or cause a bluish tinge if injected too superficially. Also, it can be very difficult to treat the dark circles only with fillers. Injecting PRF in additional to the fillers can significantly enhance the results of the fillers by tightening the loose skin under the eyes and improving the dark circles.
